Located close to Matlock Bath in Derbyshire’s Peak District, The National Stone Centre’s aim is to tell the ‘Story of Stone’ in the UK. Visitors can follow themed trails on the 50 acre site to learn about the geology and history of stone in the UK, environmental aspects and the use of stone in art and architecture.
Other attractions include the Discovery Centre housing the Story of Stone exhibition and the treasure in the rocks shop.
