Georgian military re-enactment

On Sunday 27th March visitors to Cromford Mills near Matlock Bath can see history brought to life.

See the Georgian Home Guard prepare to defend the mill against the French invaders led by Napoleon Bonaparte. Hear the Volunteers tell their stories. See them pursue their normal occupations and try your hand at pike drill.

Featuring Captain Peter Arkwright’s company of Volunteers. For more events at Cromford Mills, please visit the Arkwright Society web site.

Admission

The display starts at 10.30. Entrance is free of charge.
