A Winters Tale
As the darkness descends and the days grow ever shorter what better way to spend an evening than in the company of Matlock Storytelling Cafe. On Friday December 3rd they are inviting you into the warmth of the Imperial Rooms in Matlock for a heart warming night of stories.
For generations and since time immemorial people have huddled together in the depths of winter to listen to stories. To be transported from the dark to another time and place and to gain solace and rejoice in the endeavours of others. The Storytelling Café residents wish to bestow upon you an early Christmas present. The audience can expect to be regaled with tales from near and far and drawn from many traditions. Stories to delight, intrigue and amuse. Tales to thaw the icicles of your imagination and set fire to a rampant journey of creativity, galloping towards the turn of the year and into a celebration of the forthcoming light.
Storytelling Cafe offers a unique experience to its audience. Candle lit tables and a warm welcoming atmosphere all add to make this a great night out for adult audiences. There will be mulled wine available as well as light meals, fine cakes, coffees and teas or you can Bring Your Own bottle of Christmas cheer .
Doors open at 6.45 and stories start at 7.30. Tickets are £7 and are available from either The Greenway Cafe, Snitterton Rd, Matlock or by telephoning 01629 580023
